Riverchase Church of God was a Pentecostal Christian church located in Hoover's Riverchase subdivision. It was organized in August 1980 by Raymond Culpepper, and was affiliated with the Church of God movement, headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee.

The congregation merged with the Vestavia Church of God in August 1981 with Culpepper invited to lead the combined church. The newly-named Metropolitan Church of God continued to use the former Vestavia Church of God building on Columbiana Road until moving to a new 32-acre campus off Old Rocky Ridge Road near I-459 in 1999.
