The Robert R. Meyer Foundation is a charitable foundation established in 1942 by hotel magnate Robert Meyer and funded largely by his estate after his death in 1947. The purpose of the fund is "...to aid or promote charitable relief or assistance, improvement and betterment to the inhabitants of the City of Birmingham, Alabama and vicinity." After Meyer's death, his son Jack Meyer took over as director of the foundation.
