The original location of the shop was at 4513 [[5th Avenue South]], next door to [[Southern Skin Divers Supply]] in Avondale. Drinkard made reference by the title of The Jesus Lizard track "Seasick", in relation to the dive shop nearby, as a name of the business.
 
In June [[2015]] the store relocated to 5508 [[Crestwood Boulevard]], in the [[Shoppes of Crestwood]]. The pop-up barber shop, [[Newman's Classic Cuts]], moved with them to the new store. In [[2020]], Seasick and Newman's moved to a larger space in a portion of a former [[Family Dollar]] in Avondale.
 
Seasick Records hosts frequent album release events, and hosts large "Record Store Day" parties. The shop buys from Secretly Distribution, and has worked with [[Sloss Fest]] on promotions.

Seasick Records is a record store located at 4420A 4th Avenue South in Avondale Mills Shopping Center in Avondale. Daniel Drinkard and Chayse Porter opened the store in November 2013.
