Summit House Apartments is an apartment complex located at 1144 16th Avenue South near Glen Iris Park in Birmingham's Five Points South neighborhood. It is made up of multiple, 2-story buildings containing efficiency, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments.
On the evening of March 6, 2012, 20 units were destroyed in a 2-alarm fire, with an additional 16-18 units suffering smoke, heat, and/or water damage. Initial reports indicated no one was injured.
