The Southside Community Advisory Committee, or Southside community, is one of 23 Communities in Birmingham's Community Participation Program. It includes the neighborhoods of Five Points South, Glen Iris, and Southside. Rob Burton IV is president of the Southside community, Wil Jones is the vice president, and Alice Speake is the secretary.

The Southside includes the two most populous neighborhoods in the City of Birmingham, Five Points S and Glen Iris, with a total population of 19,834 residents. According to the 2020 Census, the racial demographics for the Southside community is 47.5% white and 34.3% black.
