Holland Trail

Although the road is labeled "Holland Trail" on Google Maps, I can find only one reference to it by that name in a Google search and the street signs in Google Street View all say some variation of "Old Hwy 31". I'm therefore assuming the "Holland Trail" name is an error and not mentioning it in the article. --Lkseitz (talk) 19:04, 29 November 2021 (PST), revised 20:25, 3 December 2021 (PST)

History

I couldn't get the UA's Historial Maps of Alabama to work, but from what I found elsewhere, I believe Highway 31 was rerouted in the 1950s. The Interstate 65 in Alabama Wikipedia page says "On May 25, 1961, ... a 6 miles segment [of I-65] between Calera and Alabaster ... opened." I think a 1940's map at Old Maps Online shows Highway 31 still using this as part of the route. So between the two, the 1950s would make sense, but since I don't have certainty, I left it more general in the article. --Lkseitz (talk) 19:04, 29 November 2021 (PST)
