The Avenues of South Hoover, formerly Barrington on the Green, is a 342-unit apartment complex on 28 acres off Lorna Road in Hoover, just north of the Cahaba River. Although the complex is south of Chace Lake Villas, Summer Place Parkway, the road leading to the complex, meets Lorna Road north of the villas.

The complex, constructed in 1996, consists of 15 apartment buildings with a mix of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments, plus the office and garages. In 2012 amenities included a swimming pool, fitness center, basketball court, and lighted tennis court. By 2021 a pet park, and outdoor kitchen had been added, along with other upgrades.
