Walking on Water Christian Church (WOW Christian Church) is an independent church founded in 2001 by Karnie Smith, former pastor of St John's AME Church. The church mat at the former Trailways Bus Station in Birmingham for four years before purchasing and renovating the former Center Point 6 theater at 2321 Carson Road in Birmingham, just west of Center Point.

The church holds two morning worship services and averages about 2,500 attendees each week. The church also operates the Bright Star Academy day care center with approximately 100 students.

In 2007 the building's owner, CapFinancial Properties, foreclosed on the church but agreed to a lease arrangement. In 2010 after more missed payments an eviction notice was posted on the property. Eviction proceedings have been postponed while the parties are working on a new agreement.
