The 2009 Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival, held on September 25-27, was the 11th in the annual series. The festival ended with a $20,000 budget surplus and boasted 13,000 attendees.
Weekend passes for the 2009 festival were priced at $40.
The opening night feature, screened at the Alabama Theatre, was "Best Worst Movie", a documentary directed by Michael Paul Stephenson about the making of the 1990 horror sequel "Troll 2". Following the screening, an after-party was held at the Redmont Hotel.
