birminghamal.gov is the official web site for the city of Birmingham, replacing informationbirmingham.com in early 2008.

Among the new features available are online fee payments and video webcasts of Birmingham City Council meetings, with archived video searchable by topic. The software for producing and presenting video is being provided by Granicus, a San Francisco, California company.

In April 2008 it was announced that each of Birmingham's neighborhoods would have a website hosted through the city site.

On September 4, 2014 a redesign of the site by Kinetic Communications went online.
