Central State Bank of Calera

Central State Bank is a Calera-based that was chartered on February 5, 1916. It currently has 3 branches in Calera, including the main office at 11025 Alabama Highway 25, and one in Pelham. It also owns Central State Bank Mortgage in Greystone.

Central was led by Roy Downs from 1947 until his death in 1971. His son-in-law, William M. Schroeder, has served as President, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since that time.
