Christ Church Birmingham is a congregation of the Global Methodist Church located at at 5091 Caldwell Mill Road. It was established in 1973 as a church plant in a mobile home. From its founding until December 10, 2022, it was known as Christ Church United Methodist and part of the North Alabama Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

On October 23, 2022, the congregation voted 230 to 12 to seek disaffiliation from the United Methodist Church. It also voted 226 to 5 to join the Global Methodist Church. The disaffiliation was approved by the North Alabama Conference on December 10, 2022.
