The Community Food Bank of Central Alabama is a non-profit organization which distributes food and other staples to families and other service organizations across a 12-county region of Central Alabama. It is located at 107 Walter Davis Drive, off Robert Jemison Road in Birmingham's Glen Iris neighborhood. Nicole Williams is chief executive officer.
The organization was founded in 1982 by a group of volunteers with support from the United Way of central Alabama and the Greater Birmingham Foundation.
In addition to its direct distribution efforts, the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama promotes food security and good nutrition through its programs and partnerships.
