Denise Mitchell is an educator for Birmingham City Schools. Mitchell served as an assistant principal at Woodlawn High School, Wenonah High School and Jones Valley Middle School, where she was also an interim principal. She was the first principal at Hayes K-8 School in 2012, and was replaced by Cedric Tatum in 2013.
