Ed Foster, along with his twin brother Fred, operate Foster Brothers Leather, making highly crafted guitar straps and other articles for select clients, including members of the Rolling Stones.

In early January 2022 Ed's brother was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Ed launched a GoFundMe drive to help pay for alternative treatment, but Fred died later the same month.
