Alley

• Given that the Alabama Legislature did pass a bill ratifying the City of Birmingham's agreement to vacate 4 feet of the alley for construction of the Caldwell Hotel, it seems possible that the Sanborn Company overlooked by 4' the size of the hotel in this map. On the other hand, I can't make out any evidence that the alley was reduced to 16 feet at this location on current maps (GIS or Google). --Dystopos (talk) 06:16, 11 February 2021 (PST)
