Jail Branch

Jail Branch or Shop Branch is a small tributary of Valley Creek flowing northward from the foot of Red Mountain near Green Springs, through Southwest Birmingham and past the Arlington Antebellum Home & Gardens, before it flows into Valley Creek near 2nd Place Southwest at Elyton.

The tributary is joined by others flowing from the east between 3rd and 4th Avenue South, just east of Center Street.
