Moneer's

Moneer’s Garden Deli & Grill was a Middle Eastern restaurant owned by Moneer Accawi, who previously opened the Pita Stop on 12th Street South.

After selling the Pita Stop to Nadim Shunnarah in 1982, Accawi opened his new restaurant in the former La Vieille Taverne space at 1318 Cobb Lane. He later relocated to 932 Oxmoor Road in Edgewood's business district.

Jordanian-born Sam Daibes, who started his career at the Pita Stop, managed Moneer's until it closed, and then opened his own Sam's Deli & Grill in the same location in 2002.
