Rosedale Cumberland Presbyterian Church

Rosedale Cumberland Presbyterian Church was located on Central Avenue in what is now Homewood. It served the residents of Rosedale. It was organized in 1898 by Nathan Byars who donated the site for the church in what is now Homewood Central Park. The church's first pastor was Lorenzo Dow Lewis. It belonged to the Birmingham Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In 1912 the church merged with members of Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church to form Edgewood Presbyterian Church.
