Shawn King (born c. 1968), was a police officer with the Columbiana Police Department.

King moved to Columbiana when he was in fifth grade. He joined the city's police force at 19 and served for approximately 20 years, rising to the rank of lieutenant before retiring.

When Columbiana Police Chief Johnny Brown went on sick leave on March 19, 2007, King was named acting chief, a role he continued when Brown resigned on April 3. King actually submitted his retirement the same day as Brown's resignation, but Columbiana Mayor Allan Lowe did not announce it then, wishing to avoid the appearance that the two men's departures were linked. King stated his retirement was because he was "just burned out" with law enforcement. King's last day on the force was April 13. King planned to work as a sign maker with his father and possibly as a construction worker after retirement.
