TabX is a smartphone app which interfaces with point-of-sale systems to allow patrons of participating businesses to open and pay bar tabs from their phones. It was developed in 2019 by brothers Jay and Josh Taylor.
The company launched its product in Birmingham in late 2019 and has expanded in Southeastern Conference cities, and in larger cities like Austin, Texas and Denver, Colorado.
