The Papa Johns.com Bowl (provisional called the Birmingham Bowl) is a post-season college football bowl game approved by the NCAA in 2006. The first Papa Johns.com Bowl is scheduled for 12:00 noon on December 23, 2006 at Legion Field.
The game, which will match a Big East Conference team against a representative of Conference USA, is put on by ESPN Regional TV. In the event that the Big East does not have any bowl-eligible teams left, the Mid-American Conference will take its spot.
The title sponsor was announced on November 16, 2006.
