Tuscaloosa County

  1. January 8: John Tyler Burroughs, 18, was one of two victims of a shooting during an argument at 2201 East 48th Street at the Aspen Village Apartments in Tuscaloosa. Orlanda Lamar Johnson Walker Jr was arrested and charged with capital murder and kidnapping. (report)
  2. January 8: Harlee Joseph Watson, 19, was the second victim.
  3. January 11: Markee Antwon Lee, 27, was shot on the 1900 block of 11th Avenue in Tuscaloosa and died hours later at DCH Regional Medical Center. No arrest. (report)
  4. January 13: Daniel Torry, 19, was fatally wounded in a shooting at the Heights at Skyland Apartments on the 4500 block of 18th Avenue East in Tuscaloosa. A suspect has been identified, but remains at large. (report)
