East Birmingham is a neighborhood in the East Birmingham community of Birmingham. It is bounded to the north by Harriman Park and Inglenook, to the east by Kingston, to the south by North Avondale, and to the west by Central City and Norwood. It is divided by railroad tracks, by I-59/20, and by Village Creek. W. C. Patton Park is the primary public space in the neighborhood, which is largely industrial with residential streets clustered in the southeast corner.
The East Birmingham Neighborhood Association, headed by Deborah DeRamus, meets on the 4th Monday of each month at the Shields Convention Center on 14th Avenue North.
