** Per a 2016 Birmingham News article, it was named for the 200th anniversary of the founding of Pinson. Technically it was never officially named "Pinson Park", it was just a stub when they announced the new unnamed park in 2014. I'll update our article with info from what I just found. I did a search of Trussville Tribune articles and didn't see one this morning that explained the name. [[User:Wheresdib|--Wheresdib]] ([[User talk:Wheresdib|talk]]) 10:15, 10 December 2020 (PST) |
