Birmingham Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the regional unit of what is popularly called the “Mormon Church” encompassing the southern suburbs of the Birmingham area. Its offices are at 2780 Altadena Road in Vestavia Hills. The stake was founded on February 2, 1975. In 2019 some of its congregations were made part of the newly-founded Gadsden Stake.
As of 2023 the following congregations are part of the stake:
- Hoover Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Vestavia Hills Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Inverness Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Clanton Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Birmingham Young Single Adult Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Columbiana Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Alabaster Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Cahaba Spanish Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
