Artis Murphy (born 1963) is an associate minister at Fist Baptist Church Ensley and a former teacher at Wilkerson Middle School. In 2005 he started an annual "Walk for Literacy" in which he walks from Birmingham to Montgomery to raise awareness for illiteracy. He organizes speaking opportunities during the trek through his nonprofit, "ARMS Reach". He also volunteers for the Early Childhood Initiative Program.
