DeDee Nathan

LeShundra "DeDee" Nathan (born April 20, 1968 in Birmingham) is a retired heptathlete who won the gold medal at the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba. She is a two-time U.S. champion (2000 and 2001) and the 1999 World Indoor pentathlon gold medalist. She participated in the 2000 Olympic Summer Games in Sydney, Australia, finishing 9th in the heptathlon.

Born in Birmingham, Nathan grew up in Indiana and graduated from South Side High School in Bloomington. She earned her degree in human development and family studies at the University of Indiana in 1990. After retiring from the sport, she became an assistant coach at Southern Illinois University.
