She is married to jazz drummer, Danny Gottlieb. Beth recieved the Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Alabama, where she studied with jazz educators [[Steve Sample, Sr]] and [[Ray Reach]], and with percussion professor [[Larry Mathis]]. She later attended Eastman School of Music, receiving the Master of Music Degree.
