Maurice Thomas (born c. 1987; died July 2, 2010 in Bessemer) was a student and football player at Alabama A&M University.
Thomas graduated from McAdory High School and earned a football scholarship to Alabama A&M, where he was majoring in economics. In his first three years as a defensive back for the Bulldogs, he compiled 114 tackles and two interceptions.
Thomas, who had just been hired for a summer job at Children's Hospital, was killed in a shootout at Getties Boyz Club in Bessemer that left two others wounded.
