Pleasant Grove High Schooll is a combined public junior high and high school in the Jefferson County School System. It was constructed in 1971 with the help of the city of Pleasant Grove and serves that city as well as the area formerly served by the Woodward School.
A new $49 million building and athletic complex for Pleasant Grove High School was completed in 2010, designed by Lathan Associates Architects. After the McCrory Building Company was found to have defaulted on the construction contract, Wyatt General Contractor was tapped to complete the project.
Pleasant Grove High School was included in the state's list of "failing schools" in 2016. The listing was based on 10th grade performance on the "ACT Aspire" standardized test. In 2016 Pleasant Grove 10th graders scored 3% on math proficiency and 16% on reading proficiency. When the 2017 list was released, Pleasant Grove High School was no longer deemed a failing school.
