Malcolm's Reading Room was a book and lifestyle store located at 404 17th Street North in the Colored Masonic Temple. It was opened in December 2007 by Courtney and Simone Snelling and named for their son, Malcolm.
The store sold music, videos, artwork, clothing and gift items as well as books, and had a dedicated children's reading area. The store hosted numerous cultural and community events including readings, poetry, music and films. The store served several book clubs, including one for children. It also scheduled weekly story times for children at different age levels.
Malcolm's Reading Room closed in 2009.
