This is a List of murders in Birmingham in 2006. It will include homicide cases occuring within the city limits during the calendar year. Birmingham had 105 homicides in 2005, 64 in 2004, 108 in 1997.

2. January 2: Deborah Robertson, 43, stabbed at 1107 47th Pl N, no arrest (2) [2]
3. January 4: George Capers, transient, age 43, found in vacant lot in 7400 block of 67th St S (Gate City) - unclassified death (3) [3]
4. January 7: Curtis Sheppard, 43, shot in chest at home on 508 Center St S. no arrest (4) [4]
5. January 9: James Barnes, 21 of Tuscaloosa shot at 2729 Jefferson Ave, no arrest (5) [5]
6. January 11: Joe S. Farmer, 56 (homeless) found wounded from blunt trauma in 14th St N, Jan 2. Danny Turner, 47, transient in custody (6) [6]
7. January 17: Tawfig Sharif, 27, found inside store at 40th St W., Moshen Musa, 16, on bond (7) [7]
8. January 22: L'Oreal Nichole Bussey, 27, found shot at 829 28th St SW Birmingham. Michael J. Mays suspected. (8) [8]
9. January 22: Reginald Matthew Taylor, 29, shot in southwest Birmingham. Michael J. Mays suspected. (9) [9]
10. January 22: Allen Dunn, 22, hit by bullet during robbery outside Mike's Crossroads, 1010 3rd Av N (11) [10]
11. January 23: Antonio King, 21, shot by 71-year old grandmother in yard of 500 Princeton Ave. SW (10) [11]
12. January 28: Leonard Mixon, 33, shot in 500 block of 36th St N. Neikro Hurst of Bessemer charged.
13. February 2: Milton Poole, 16, killed at 19th St & Avenue V, Ensley, 2 suspects charged (12) [12]
14. February 2: Pamela Montgomery, 42, of Bessemer, killed at 19th St & Avenue V, Ensley, 2 suspects charged (13) [13]
15. February 7: Joseph Richardson, 46, killed at 1629 20th St Alley Ensley - no arrest (14) [14]
16. February 13: Audrey Price, 23, shot on I-65 at 3rd Av S. (15) [15]
17. February 18: Demetrius Hamilton, 41, stabbed in 1200 block of 10th Av N. - no arrest (16) [16]

20. March 10: Wendy Reno, 33 found at Anchor Motel, 8420 1st Ave No, East Lake (19) [19]
21. March 10: John Oliver, 53, found on sidewalk 1200 block of 14th Ave S. - Earlie Robinson, 40 charged (20) [20]
22. March 11: Franco Johnson, 18, shot on 300 block of 20th St S (Southside). Jarvis Craig, 20, charged (21) [21]
23. March 11: Infant Dominic Ware, 18 mos, found in home at 4800 block of Avenue O, Ensley. Jorge L. Carter charged (22) [22]
24. March 28: Taurus Frost, 22, found shot in Impala parked at abandoned house in Ensley (24?)
25. March 31: Timothy Woods, 45, stabbed by wife, Angela, 3000 block of 29th Avenue North. (25) [23]
26. April 3: Infant Dakota Jackson (3 mos) killed at 718 Attalla Place in Wylam. Mother Tiffany Jackson, 24 is suspected. (26) [24]
27. April 7: Leviticus Campbell, 17, found on 6800 block of Higdon Road (Woodlawn/East Lake) (27) [25]
28. April 11: Man found dead of gunshot wound on 1100 block of 2nd Court West (RisingWest Princeton) (28) [26]
29. April 13: Man found shot behind house on Tarpon Drive (Roebuck) (29)
