Big Bolton's BBQ is a barbeque restaurant located at 3461 U.S. Highway 11 in Argo. It is owned by Birmingham News sports reporter Mike Bolton. Bolton retired from The News in July 2009, and opened the restaurant on September 1. Bolton honed his cooking skills preparing Wednesday night supper at ClearBranch United Methodist Church, and was encouraged by his fellow church members to open a restaurant. Big Bolton's serves breakfast as well as barbeque pork, catfish, hamburgers, and other Southern dishes.
