The former Herb's Hardware building, October 2013

110 North Chalkville Road, or the Herb's Hardware building, was a building built in 1943 on North Chalkville Road in downtown Trussville.

Herb's Hardware occupied the space until the 2000s, after which it housed Michael L. O'Neal's dental practice.

In 2013 the city purchased the building and planned to demolish it to facilitate the widening of Chalkville Road, and to align Linden Street with the access road to the Trussville City Schools Central Office. Linden Street's revised route was planned to go over parts of the former building's footprint. The turn lane project was never built, and the building stood until it was demolished in summer 2020 as part of the project updating the Main Street and Chalkville Road intersection, creating sidewalks and putting utilities underground.
