The 1984 PGA Championship (August 16-19, 1984) was the tour championship tournament sponsored by the Professional Golfers' Association of America and hosted by the Shoal Creek Golf and Country Club in Shelby County.
150 players vied for a share of a $700,000 purse. The winner was Lee Trevino who finished four strokes ahead of Gary PLayer and Lanny Wadkins to claim the $125,000 top prize. The win was Trevino's second in the PGA Championship and his sixth and last major championship victory.
