This is a List of Birmingham homicides in 1999. 81 homicide cases were reported within the city limits during the calendar year. Note that not all homicides are ultimately ruled to be murder in courts of law.

• September 9: Damon Wright, 24, was gunned down after meeting with his brother in law.
• November 25: Damon Collier, 24, best friend to Damon Wright who was gunned down September 9, was found shot to death in a Ensley Highlands neighborhood.
• December 28: Jamelle Grace, 16, was gunned down when someone released a reign of gunfire into his brother's home. Jamelle was shot multiple times.
