The 2016 Birmingham Hammers was a a professional soccer team representing Birmingham in the National Premier Soccer League's Southeast Conference.
The Hammer's first season in the NPSL kicked off on May 14, 2016 with 0-1 home loss to Chattanooga FC. The Hammers' first victory came a month later when they blanked Memphis City FC at home. They finished the season with 2 wins, 7 losses and a tie. Another scheduled game, versus the Georgia Revolution, was canceled.

- May 21: The Knoxville Force defeated the Hammers 1-3 at the Sansom Sports Complex in Knoxville.
- June 4: The New Orleans Jesters defeated the Hammers 1-4 at Pan American Stadium in New Orleans.
- June 10: The Hammers shut out Memphis City FV at Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex.
- June 12: Nashville FC defeated the Hammers 0-1 at Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex.
- June 18: Chattanooga FC defeated the Hammers 0-2 at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga.
- June 22: The Knoxville Force defeated the Hammers 1-2 at Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex.
- June 25: The Birmingham Hammers and New Orleans Jesters played to a 1-1 tie at Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex.
- June 29: Memphis City FC defeated the Hammers 3-4 at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis.
- July 2: The Hammers beat Nashville FC 2-1 at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville.
