Alabama Gas Corporation (Alagasco), headquartered in Birmingham, is the largest natural gas utility in north and central Alabama. One of the two operating units of Energen Corporation, a diversified energy company also headquartered in Birmingham, Alagasco provides energy to 460,000 homes and businesses.
