The Avonwood Rest Home was an assisted-living facility located at 4246 5th Avenue South. It was owned by Mrs Gladys Harper and Mattie Martin, and incorporated on September 10, 1964. The home offered 24-hour skilled nursing services along with physical therapy and planned diets.

The facility is currently used by Aletheia House as an addiction recovery center for female clients.
