Media templates are templates used to categorize uploaded images by their content. The should be used in addition to the appropriate licensing template. A complete list of templates can be found in the media templates category.
- {{Album cover}} is used for scans of CD or record album covers and categorizes images into Category:Album covers.
- {{Book cover}} is used for book covers and categorizes images into Category:Book covers.
- {{Magazine cover}} is used for magazine covers and categorizes images into Category:Magazine covers.
- {{Portrait}} is used for portraits of individuals and categorizes images into Category:Portraits.
- {{Postcard}} is used for scans of postcards and categorizes images into Category:Postcard images.
- {{Seal}} is used for official government seals and categorizes images into Category:Seals.
