William Prince "Bill" Bryant (born 1953 in Stevenson, Jackson County - died June 2006 in Hoover) was an orthopedist and the team physician for the Birmingham Steeldogs and Hoover High School football programs and for the Birmingham Bulls hockey team.
Bryant, the son of Sanders Bryant, grew up in Stevenson in Jackson County. He was senior class president and played quarterback at Stevenson High School. After graduating in 1971 he went to Auburn University. He went on to earn his medical degree at UAB in 1980. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at UAB Hospital in 1984 and was one of the founding partners of Southlake Orthopaedics Sports Medicine & Spine Center.
He became involved with Hoover as the protege of Rick Smith in 1994. His son, Jarod, also quarterbacked the Buccaneers for a while.
Bryant died of lung cancer, diagnosed in 2003. He was survived by his wife, Konie, and four children: Justin, Jessica, Jarod and Jenna.
