Citizens Trust Bank is an Atlanta, Georgia-based bank which has a main office for its Alabama division located in the former Calder Building at 1700 3rd Avenue North in downtown Birmingham. Citizens Trust was founded in 1919 as the first bank to serve the African-American community in Atlanta. In 1947, it was the first African American owned bank to become a member of the Federal Reserve Bank.

Citizen Trust Bank moved into the Birmingham market in February 2003 with the acquisition of Birmingham's first minority-owned bank, Citizens Federal Savings Bank for $10 million in cash. Citizens Federal's Chairman and CEO Bunny Stokes, Jr became the CTB Birmingham Division President, before retiring in 2004.
