Covenant Presbyterian Church (founded October 1, 1978) is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America located at 65 Old Montgomery Highway in Homewood. Bill Boyd is the pastor.

Founding pastor Bill Hay led Covenant Presbyterian's first services at the Reid Chapel on the campus of Samford University beginning in 1978. Most of the founding members were formerly affiliated with Edgewood Presbyterian Church, Pastor Hay's previous church. The church joined the PCA's Evangel Presbytery on March 4, 1979 and purchased a 9-acre site on the corner of South Lakeshore Drive and Old Montgomery Highway a few months later. The church held its first services in their new sanctuary in 1981. After years of growth, the church dedicated a new larger worship center on April 7, 1996.

In January 2008 the church completed a 40,000 square-foot expansion including space for a nursery, classrooms and children's worship spaces as well as renovations to the church's kitchen. Garrison Barrett Group designed the $8 million addition, which was constructed by B. L. Harbert International.

Hay retired from the congregation he founded in August 2011. He was succeeded by Bill Boyd, formerly of All Saints' Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas.
