The Crestwood community lies on either side of Crestwood Boulevard (U.S. 78) in eastern Birmingham. Residential development of the area began in the 1950s.
Crestwood includes the neighborhood associations of Crestwood North and Crestwood South.
Crestwood Park and the Crestwood Plaza shopping center are at the center of the community.
