Demetrius C. Newton, Jr (born September 20, 1979) is a communications instructor at Miles College.

Lee is the son of long-time state legislator Demetrius Newton. He graduated from Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School and has a degree in communications from Howard University in Washington, D.C. and a degree in computer science from Tuskegee University. He has been employed at Miles College since 2002.

In 2013 Newton ran, unsuccessfully, in the special election to fill the District 53 seat in the Alabama State House of Representatives left vacant by the death of his father.
