The Downtown Church is a nondenominational Christian church located in what it calls "the warehouse", a red-painted former auto service center at 300 24th Street South. There are currently four pastors leading the church, Keith Best, Rodney Calfee, Andrew Jenkins and Brandon Reeder. The service style is contemporary, with music led by a multi-piece band.

The church holds regular Sunday services with scriptural lessons as well as Wednesday evening prayer services. In addition, numerous meetings are held at member's homes. The church also offers classes in parenting, sewing, budgeting and other life skills. The downtown warehouse includes a prayer room accessible by key-code 24 hours a day.

In November 2007 the downtown church organized a restoration of the mural painted alongside University Boulevard in front of the Southtown housing project.
