The East Lake neighborhood is a neighborhood in the East Lake community of Birmingham. It occupies the large area southeast of 1st Avenue North from Wahouma, southwest of Oporto-Madrid Boulevard from South East Lake, west of London Avenue from Brown Springs, and north of South Woodlawn and Gate City. Downey Park is the neighborhood's primary green space.
The East Lake Neighborhood Association, which meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at New Rising Star Baptist Church on London Avenue, is presided over by Aaisha Muhammad. Richard Drake is vice-president and Brenda Martin is secretary.
