Eric Jack

Erick Jack (born c. 1957 in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago) is the dean of the UAB School of Business.

Jack spent much of his childhood in Metuchen, New Jersey and became a naturalized citizen after graduating high school in Trinidad. He served for 21 years in the U. S. Air Force, specializing in facility planning and management and serving as in instructor at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, Ohio. He earned his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, a master's degree in business from Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio, and a doctorate in operations management from the University of Cincinnati.

Jack came to UAB in 2001 as an associate dean for faculty development and research. He was appointed to succeed David Klock as interim dean for the business school in October 2012 and was offered the full-time position in April 2013 following a national search.

Jack's wife, Ava is also an instructor in the UAB School of Business.
