Garrett, Phelan & Underwood was a law firm formed by James J. Garrett, Alabama Secretary of State Ellis Phelan and Oscar Underwood in 1882. Their offices were located in the National Bank Building.

Phelan left the firm in 1885 to move with his wife to Waterbury, Connecticut.
